Frauke Kubischta is an experienced Coach Developer and educator, with roots in Germany.
She graduated in 2018 from the Haaga-Helia University of Applied Sciences with a Master’s in Sport Coaching and in 2014 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Sport and Leisure Management from the same institution.
Prior to her studies in sport Frauke completed her doctoral thesis in Geology on Late Pleistocene and Holocene environmental evolution of the Murchisonfjorden area, Nordaustlandet, Svalbard with the University of Helsinki. Her scientific training has taught Frauke that reliable information, which is the basis of all successful planning, development and action, is too often taken for granted. Analytical thinking and practical skills, evaluation of data and environments are part of her professional experience, which she utilizes to effectively solve problems with new and innovative solutions. Her experience of expedition logistics and project management transforms into understanding of the careful planning processes of serious-minded project work.
Furthermore it has taught her to focus under pressure on the tasks at hand. From 2014 until 2020 Frauke worked for the Sport Institute of Finland, Vieurmäki, as the manager for International Ice Hockey Operations within the International Ice Hockey Centre of Excellence (IIHCE). During this time she has managed, planned and operated countless international training camps, supported, advised and mentored numerous Bachelor theses, taught part of the Organizational Management Course of the Haaga-Helia UAS Bachelor Degree Programme in Sport and Leisure Management, developed content for various International Ice Hockey Federation (IIHF) projects, and organized IIHF Hockey Development and High Performance camps, as well as conferences (e.g, ICCE Global Coach Conference 2015) and seminars.
She previously worked as a Coach Developer in the Erasmus+ projects (European Rookie Cup and Hockey Partnership for Progress), as well as in the International Ice Hockey Federations (IIHF) Coach Developer Programme among other projects. She graduated in 2021 as a cohort 7 member of the Nippon Sport Science University National Coach Developer Academy (NSSU-NCDA; Japan) Coach Development System Building Programme.
During 2021 she was the Programme Coordinator and Coach Developer for the KKY-project (Cultural and Linguistic Equality in Coaching), executed by the Finnish Coaches Association.
However, Frauke is not only a capable researcher, project manager and coach developer but has also been a coach in Thai boxing (Muay Thai) for the past 15 years, as well as having coached Strength & Conditioning, Mobility and Functional Training with different ice hockey teams (female & male, junior & senior, National Team) in Finland. Her experience is not limited to coaching but she was also fortunate to have been able to collect experience as a competition athlete in Muay Thai, with several medals to proof it.
With FK Sport Consulting Services Oy she realizes a long-time dream of hers to share her knowledge, experience, and expertise with the sport community for quality coaching and positive athlete outcomes. Lifelong learning and continuous personal and professional development of herself and others is her passion. She is a hard-working and forward-thinking professional who believes that there is a solution for every challenge, and that the key to finding it is through empowering people. Communication, solution finding, scientific expertise and critical thinking skills as well as an adaptable mindset are her biggest strengths. Frauke builds strategies, operations, and processes based on business-intelligence and thorough analysis.
Frauke has been a member of the Professional Coaches of Finland (Suomen Ammattivalmentajat; SAVAL) since 2014.
In the autumn meeting of SAVAL in November 2022 she was elected as a Member of the Board.
She has also been a member of the Finnish Coaches Association (Suomen Valmentajat) since 2011.
